The woman is talking to her professor, Mr. Tam about a problem. She will be graduating soon and doesn’t know what to do next. She can either take some time off from studying to work and make money, or she can apply to graduate school. The professor gives her two suggestions. She can either start doing research about graduate programs now and apply early, or she can start typing a resume. If I were her, I think that applying to graduate school is more important and beneficial than trying to find work. First, school is very important and getting a graduate degree will look very good when she is applying to jobs in the future. Furthermore, going to grad school is something that her parents really want her to do so I think she should listen to her parents. Second, I think that working for one year will not really allow the woman to gain much experience or make a lot of money. This is why I think it is better for her to continue her studies.
